Overview
Directorate of Surveillance and Health Quarantine MoH, in partnership with the Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) Universitas Gadjah Mada, hosted the 12th National Scientific Conference on Epidemiology (NSCE) from July 22-25, 2025 in Yogyakarta. This annual conference of the Indonesia FETP to recognize and support the critical work of professional field epidemiologists in detecting and responding to disease threats.
230 participants from around Indonesia attended the conference. There were representatives from all three FETP tiers (advanced, intermediate, and frontline) from seven universities and BBPK Ciloto. Representatives from Ministry of Health, Provincial/District Health Office, Health Quarantine Center, Ministry of Environment, TNI Health Center, and The Indonesian Police Centre for Medical and Health Services.
Surveillance and Early Warning
The conference theme “Surveillance and Early Warning: Confronting Public Health Threats and Global Health Crisis related to Climate Change” was highlighted through the many presentations, plenary sessions, special presentations, and pre-conference workshops.
3 pre-conference workshops were held on July 22, 2025:

- Hazard Calendar (Timker SKD & PHEOC Kemenkes)

FETP Universitas Udayana won best performance at FETP Night for their Kecak Dance - Balinese traditional dance.
